Weight regulation is influenced by more than diet and exercise alone. It involves metabolic function, hormonal balance, nervous system regulation, and how the body stores and uses energy. When these systems are out of balance, weight may become difficult to shift despite consistent effort.
Stubborn weight patterns are often influenced by emotional stress, subconscious beliefs, and stored tension within the body. Chronic stress, unresolved emotions, or a prolonged state of survival mode can signal the body to hold onto energy for protection rather than release it. Over time, this may contribute to resistance around weight change.
Developing awareness of the emotional, behavioural, and energetic factors that may be influencing weight can support a healthier relationship with the body. By addressing these deeper patterns alongside lifestyle choices, it becomes possible to support balance, ease, and sustainable well-being over time.
